从前有一只美丽鸟，它羽毛丰满，艳丽动人。它高傲自大，成天独自在林中唱歌跳舞，炫耀自己。秋天到了，啄木鸟和喜鹊们都在筑巢，准备过冬。美丽鸟笑话它们太傻，依然到处游荡，过着悠闲的生活。转眼间冬天到了，大雪纷飞，天气寒冷。啄木鸟和喜鹊早已身进自己的窝里过冬去了。可是美丽鸟无家可归，又冷又饿。它突然发现林中有一堆野火，就飞过去烤火。。Aspiring filmmakers Mel Funn, Marty Eggs and Dom Bell go to a financially troubled studio with an idea for a silent movie. In an effort to make the movie more marketable, they attempt to recruit a number of big name stars to appear, while the studio's creditors attempt to thwart them.
